Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams or large technical programs.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, resources, and technical execution.
• 5+ years in systems engineering including requirements development and management.
• 12+ years engineering experience developing or integrating complex systems (hardware, software, RF, digital, analog, embedded).
• Strong communication and leadership skills with cross‑functional influence.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Occasional travel to customer, industry or program activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and organizational leadership for a multidisciplinary engineering team across programs and IRAD initiatives.
• Drive workforce planning, recruiting, mentoring, succession planning, and career development.
• Foster collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Establish department goals, performance metrics, and resource strategies.
• Ensure achievement of technical, schedule, cost, and quality objectives across development efforts.
• Guide SE activities through lifecycle: requirements, architecture, integration, verification, and release.
• Support proposals with technical planning, architecture, cost estimation, and WBS creation.
• Lead trade studies and decision-making balancing performance, cost, schedule, reliability, and manufacturability.
