Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Principal Wireless/RF Engineer in San Diego to advance radar, EW and missile subsystems from MHz to 40 GHz. The role blends deep RF expertise with strong communication to drive complex programs.

You will lead RF hardware design, simulations (MWO, HFSS), and production transition, while mentoring engineers and supporting proposals; a Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 5+ years related experience designing and developing advanced miniature microwave subsystems and components.
• Experience with linear, non-linear, and EM simulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform RF hardware design, requirements specification compliance analysis, RF simulations (Microwave Office, HFSS), design validation, product integration oversight and transition to production support.
• Technical lead for projects guiding a team of highly skilled engineers with diverse RF, analog and testing experience to achieve technical compliance within schedule and budget.
• Technical lead for proposals.
• Provide labor estimates for both recurring and non-recurring engineering.
