Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineering Section Manager 2 to be located in Roy, UT. The role leads a SE section within the SDS SEIT MS&A Team, providing mentorship and operational support to a team of engineers.

You will balance technical leadership with functional homeroom responsibilities and contribute to program governance and compliant system architecture. The position requires a US citizenship, a Secret security clearance, and a strong background in modeling,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with at least 8 years of related experience or a Master's degree with 6 years related experience.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application.
• Must have the ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period of time.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Systems Engineering discipline section within SDS SEIT MS&A Team and mentor a team of 8–12 ICs.
• Spend roughly 20% on Functional Homeroom responsibilities and 80% on a technical assignment.
• Perform modeling, simulation & analysis for system aspects and support MBSE strategy.
• Coordinate with sub-contracted product teams to ensure compliance with contract SOW and governance.
• Contribute content for internal and external presentations.
