Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Systems Engineering Manager 2 to be located in Huntsville, AL or Roy, UT, supporting Advanced Programs. You will lead a multi-disciplinary SE team through the TMRR phase, applying MBSE and digital engineering tools to deliver robust system solutions.

The role requires US citizenship with Secret clearance (Top Secret/SAP eligibility), agile experience, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

US Citizenship with active Secret clearance; Top Secret/SAP eligibility is required or anticipated.
Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 8 years of related experience; 6 years with a master's degree.
2+ years of experience with Agile team execution and use of digital engineering/toolsets such as JIRA, Confluence, DOORS, and Cameo.

Responsibilities

Act as deputy to the Product Definition IPT Lead and coordinate cross-IPT dependencies.
Lead a multi-disciplined systems engineering team through the Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction (TMRR) phase, including staffing and development.
Perform system architecture development, requirements allocation, interface definition, and verification planning across the weapon system.
Apply MBSE, modeling/simulation, and digital engineering tools to maintain system models and data products.
Plan and track cost, schedule, and technical performance for assigned work packages within budget.
Collaborate with leadership, IPT/product owners, specialty engineers, and customers to define scope and resolve issues.
