Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineering Section Manager 2 for Roy, UT. You will lead a Section of 8–12 engineers within the SDS Systems Engineering Integration & Test team, mentoring staff and ensuring staffing and performance targets align with program goals.

The role blends leadership with hands-on technical work in modeling, simulation, and analysis of power systems and DoD missile systems. A Secret clearance is required; relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years of related experience or Master’s with 6+ years.
• US citizen with an active Secret clearance at time of application.
• Ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Systems Engineering Section of 8–12 engineers, supervising performance and staffing.
• Mentor team members and provide operational support aligned to project goals.
• Spend about 20% on Functional Homeroom responsibilities and 80% on technical SDS project work.
• Oversee modeling, simulation and analysis for system components and interfaces.
• Prepare content for presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
