Job summary

Celestica International LP in the United States is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer & Engineering Team Lead to define the technical foundation, architect next-generation power solutions, and guide a multi-disciplinary engineering design team.

You will own the end-to-end systems engineering lifecycle, translate MRDs into system requirements, oversee MV power distribution architectures, and drive FAT, verification, and field commissioning to ensure safe, resilient deployments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in heavy industrial power systems design, power generation, or data center infrastructure.
• 3+ years in formal technical leadership or engineering management leading cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience bringing modular or containerized capital equipment products from concept to manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree or PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary design team of electrical, mechanical, and controls/software engineers.
• Establish engineering workflows, design standards, and peer-review processes for quality and safety.
• Coordinate with Project Management to assign resources, manage design schedules, and deliver on time.
• Translate MRDs into system-level requirements, functional specs, and ICDs.
• Oversee architecture of 3-phase MV power distribution systems and define interfaces.
• Develop FAT protocols, verification matrices, and field commissioning guidelines.
• Specify heavy electrical subsystems (UPS, STS, switchgear, protective relays).
• Conduct system modeling analyses (short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, harmonics).
• Design for manufacturability, transportability, and rapid field installation.
• Ensure grid interconnection and power quality compliance.
