Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Systems Engineer to contribute to the New Glenn Payload Accommodations Program. You will develop, allocate, manage, and verify requirements, interfaces, and safety analyses, supporting project leads and stakeholder coordination to ensure safe, verifiable spaceflight systems. The role requires a B.S.

in a technical field, hands-on engineering experience, strong communication, and the ability to work in an inclusive, high-performing team. U.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace engineering or other technical field.
• Hands-on experience in at least one area: analysis, design, testing.
• Ability to work in teams and lead through influence.
• Experience in system engineering on launch vehicles, spacecraft, or regulated industries.
• Experience writing or consuming requirements.
• Ability to operate and progress in ambiguous environments.
• U.S. citizen, U.S. national, permanent resident, or eligible for status adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Support Vehicle and Ground System Project Leads with systems engineering per Blue Origin standards.
• Author, decompose, analyze, trace, and verify requirements.
• Negotiate interfaces and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement verification plans and strategies for requirement verification.
• Lead gated reviews for the New Glenn program and element reviews.
• Author and maintain system safety docs (FHA, ASA, FTA, FMECAs).
