Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer/project leader to direct the systems engineering efforts for New Glenn ground systems and vehicle certification. You will coordinate with government partners and internal teams to ensure readiness and compliant delivery of certification artifacts.

The role requires strong experience in program management, requirements, and V&V processes, with travel as needed to support NASA/NSSL programs and national security missions.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
• 5+ years of proven experience with large-scale aerospace development programs.
• Understanding of the Systems Engineering V, requirements development, verification plans, and V&V closure.
• Experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary, fast-paced programs/projects.
• Expertise with Confluence and JIRA.
• Experience with systems engineering tools (DOORS), configuration management tools (Windchill), and secure data-sharing platforms.
• Ability to travel within the U.S. and abroad.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary focal for New Glenn ground system certification activities and oversee design, development, and verification of ground systems for launch activities.
• Manage USG program resources, schedules, and budgets to meet business goals while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Lead customer-facing meetings and reviews, including technical reviews and program planning to integrate USG requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and launch operations to ensure successful integration of customer requirements and deliverables.
• Create standard data aggregation/reporting formats for executive leadership on readiness, escalations, and wins.
