Job summary

Blue Origin is building the path to space with New Glenn, a heavy-lift launch vehicle. This role focuses on developing system engineering processes, requirements definition, validation, verification, and integration across subsystems, using tools like DOORS Next Gen and Windchill.

You will contribute to system safety analysis and performance monitoring while coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet milestones. Minimum qualifications include a B.S.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial engineering, or a similar technical field.
  • 5+ years of systems engineering experience with progression in scope and complexity.
  • Established expertise across the full SE development cycle (concept, requirements, design, analysis, integration, safety, configuration management, verification and test).
  • Familiarity with two or more related functional areas (mechanical, fluids, tanks, structures, avionics, engines, GNC, etc.).
  • Advanced capability in using and setting up SE tools (DOORS/DNG, ETM, Windchill, Cameo).
  • Proven ability to lead cross functional teams and drive multi subsystem integration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and operations of New Glenn by applying system engineering practices across subject areas.
  • Assist in requirements definition, validation, verification, and traceability at all program levels.
  • Develop health metrics and support gated reviews to track program health and milestones.
  • Coordinate with multi-discipline teams to achieve technical system solutions and integration.
