Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for Tucson, AZ, on-site. You will design and integrate embedded software and system components, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and lead MBSE efforts to ensure first-time-right performance for missile programs.

The role emphasizes software-focused systems engineering, requirements management, and trade studies, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and collaborate with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and at least 5 years of engineering experience.
• Experience in Systems Engineering and MBSE, requirements development and verification.
• Experience with software for embedded systems and cross-disciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain system and subsystem requirements for embedded software, configurable logic, and test systems.
• Model the system and development/production processes using Cameo.
• Conduct trade studies and present results to customers.
• SE technical contributor for verification and validation efforts.
• Work with Systems, Software, Configurable Logic and Test teams on program tasks.
• Participate in technical discussions with the customer.
• Becoming a knowledgeable Systems Engineer for software-centric program capabilities.
• Mentor new team members using core Systems Engineering skills.
