Job summary

RTX is hiring a Principal Systems Engineer for our Tucson, AZ site to design, develop and integrate software-centric missile systems. You will manage system requirements, lead MBSE activities, and coordinate with software, hardware and test teams to ensure first-time success for warfighter programs.

The role emphasizes embedded software design, verification and validation, and close collaboration with customers. It is an on-site position with potential travel and security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with at least 8 years of engineering experience.
• Experience in Systems Engineering.
• Experience in MBSE, Requirements Development, Requirements Management, Verification, or Integration and Test for software products.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain system and subsystem requirements for embedded software, configurable logic, and test systems software.
• Model the system and development/production processes using Cameo.
• Conduct Trade Studies and present results to customers.
• SE technical contributor for verification and validation efforts.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, Configurable Logic and Test teams on program tasks.
• Participate in technical conversations with the customer.
• Become a knowledgeable go-to Systems Engineer for the software-centric program capabilities.
• Mentor new team members using core Systems Engineering skills.
