Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer - Signal and Sensor Modeling to join a close-knit team in Tucson, AZ.

You will create advanced, physics-based modeling solutions in the EO/IR/RF domain and develop essential technologies for energy transport, supporting AI algorithm design and hardware testing. You will deploy cutting-edge modeling techniques, write robust C++ models, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to solve complex physics problems while mentoring others.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience applying object-oriented software design in C++ and C; MATLAB or Python for data evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop new C++ models in an extensible, maintainable fashion.
• Deploy EO or RF phenomenology and physics into software implementations.
• Enable customer success through adoption of modeling solutions.
• Collaborate across teams to prioritize and solve software and physics problems.
• Mentor team members and share EO or RF expertise.
