Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer - Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. You will create physics-based modeling solutions in the DoD Space domain, developing EO/IR/RF technologies and supporting AI hardware and software integration.

You will write robust C++ models, deploy phenomenology in software, collaborate across teams, and mentor peers while ensuring adoption of modeling solutions across programs. U.S.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics or related STEM field.
• Experience with object-oriented C++ design.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python for data evaluation.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux, Windows or macOS command line.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop new C++ models in an extensible, maintainable way.
• Deploy EO/RF phenomenology in software implementations.
• Collaborate across development teams to prioritize complex problems.
• Mentor team members and share EO/RF expertise.
• Support customer success through adoption of modeling solutions.
• Work within a production software environment and build systems.
