Job summary
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Principal Systems Engineer (level 3) to join the Sentinel program in Roy, UT. You will decompose requirements, own environmental criteria, and review tests and vendor specs while coordinating with REs, system test teams, and customers.
Occasional CONUS travel (~25%) is required. The role demands DoD Secret clearance and advanced experience in system engineering and environmental testing, supporting MRB/FRB reviews and test -- with a strong focus on
Qualifications
- U.S. citizen with active DoD Secret clearance; ability to obtain SAP approval.
- Experience with MIL-STD-810 methodology and tailoring.
- Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-344, MIL-HDBK-310, RCC 319, DOORS v7.X.
- Experience with IEC 60068, RTCA DO-160, ASTM, SAE, and related test methods.
Responsibilities
- Decompose requirements into lower-level specifications based on use case and CONOPS.
- Own environments for equipment; add derived environmental data.
- Review vendor performance specs and verification methods.
- Support internal/external design reviews and test procedures.
- Witness testing and participate in test planning and reports.
- Interface with vendors and customers.
