Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Roy, UT seeks a Principal Systems Engineer or Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to support the Sentinel program. The role focuses on systems engineering, DOORS requirements, and collaboration with IPTs, with governance and documentation responsibilities.

The position requires an active DoD Secret clearance and experience in ICBMs or advanced aerospace/defense systems, plus a 9/80 work schedule and potential relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of related experience, 3 years with Masters, 1 year with PhD.
• 1+ year experience in team environments with technical leadership responsibilities
• 2+ years’ experience in Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) (Minuteman III (MMIII) or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems.
• 2+ years’ experience in developing and executing Systems Engineering (SE) process governance documentation in a Department of Defense (DoD) Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase.
• 2+ years’ experience in creating, updating, and maintaining requirements specifications in DOORS.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop rigorous and proper systems engineering and design artifacts.
• Manage and optimize database for Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) tools.
• Work with technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature WS design of a large program.
• Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model.
• Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis.
• Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration)
• Manage program governance and assist subject matter experts in the development of program compliance documents.
