Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer (level 4) to join its Roy, UT team supporting the Sentinel program. The role involves decomposing requirements, owning equipment environments, and coordinating verification with vendors and system-test teams. Travel to CONUS test locations ~25% is expected.

Qualified candidates have 8+ years with a BS, 6+ with an MS, or 4+ with a PhD and hold a DoD Secret clearance. Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 and DOORS v7.x is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Active U.S. DoD Secret clearance at time of application.
• Experience with MIL-STD-810 and related standards and DO-160.

Responsibilities

• Decompose top-level requirements into lower-level specs.
• Own environments for equipment and add environmental data as needed.
• Review vendor performance specs and verification methods.
• Support design reviews with internal and external teams.
• Develop and review verification plans and test procedures.
• Coordinate with REs and System Test for integrated readiness.
