Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer (level 3) for the Sentinel program in Roy, UT. The role involves decomposing requirements, owning environments, and coordinating with vendors and customers to ensure system readiness.

Qualified candidates have DoD Secret clearance, related MIL/DOORS experience, and the ability to travel CONUS up to ~25%. The position offers relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

5+ years with a Bachelor's; 3+ years with a Master's; 1+ year with a PhD.
U.S. citizenship with active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain SAP approval within business need.
Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 environmental testing and related MIL standards.
Familiarity with IEC 60068, RTCA DO-160, ASTM, SAE testing methods.

Responsibilities

Decompose top-level requirements into lower-level requirements based on use-case and CONOPS.
Own environments for equipment and add environmental criteria details.
Review vendor performance specifications and verification methods.
Support internal and external design reviews and test procedures.
Witness testing as cognizant environments engineer.
Coordinate with REs and System Test to ensure readiness for verification.
Interface with vendors and customers.
