Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer - Project Engineer V to serve as a senior technical authority across high-complexity defense programs.

You will provide engineering direction, manage architecture and verification, and coordinate with DoD customers to align design with mission requirements. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive programmatic oversight, and mentor engineers while advancing process improvements and technology development initiatives in a national defense

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in project or systems engineering for defense/aerospace.
• Experience leading large DoD/MDA programs and EVMS-based contracts.
• Strong background in system integration, risk management and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Serve as chief project engineer for large defense programs with multi-phase contracts.
• Define system architecture, integration, and verification strategies per requirements.
• Oversee IPTs, subcontractors, and ensure cost/schedule performance.
• Lead design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and ensure readiness.
• Interface with DoD customers and senior management for milestones.
• Manage SOWs, deliverables, and key supplier inputs.
• Develop risk/opportunity management frameworks at enterprise level.
• Mentor project engineers and lead process improvements.
