Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer V-PE (Team Manager) to lead senior technical projects in defense and aerospace, directing architecture, verification, and execution with multiple teams. The role reports to the Director of Engineering in a hybrid/remote setup spanning several U.S.

locations. You will manage risk, interfaces with DoD customers, and oversee deliverables, staffing, and proposal support while mentoring engineers and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited program (equivalent experience considered).
• Ten years of project engineering experience.
• Expertise in system integration, verification planning, and risk-based engineering approaches.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and communicate with execs and customers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as chief project engineer or senior technical lead for large defense/aerospace programs.
• Define and guide system architecture, integration, and verification strategies.
• Oversee execution across IPTs and major subcontractors for cost/schedule compliance.
• Lead design reviews, risk management, and liaison with DoD customers.
