Job summary

V2X Inc. in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team, supporting DoD avionics and weapon system integration. This role offers leadership across the development life cycle and collaboration within an IPT to deliver complex programs.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in systems engineering, proven leadership, and experience with requirements, architecture, and verification across cross‑functional teams. U.S. citizenship and DoD clearance are required.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
12+ years of systems, software, or hardware engineering experience.
Leadership, direction, and guidance to large multi-discipline teams.
Experience leading all systems engineering tasks and cross-product activities.
Planning, executing, and leading integration, verification and validation tasks.
Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders and reviews.

Responsibilities

Lead and provide technical and programmatic leadership across the development lifecycle from concept to validation.
Work within an IPT to ensure cross-functional collaboration and alignment with requirements.
Develop technical baselines, review engineering changes, and oversee verification activities.
