Job summary

V2X Inc. seeks a Principal Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN. You will lead the software lifecycle from concept to validation, coordinating with cross-functional IPTs to deliver avionics-centric solutions for DoD programs.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Engineering or related STEM field, 12+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain DoD clearance.
Minimum 12 years in systems, software, or hardware engineering.
Experience leading multi-discipline teams and IPTs.
Experience planning, integrating, and validating complex systems.

Responsibilities

Provide technical and programmatic leadership across the software lifecycle.
Work within an IPT to coordinate concept development, requirements, design reviews, and integration.
Lead verification and validation planning, execution, and reporting.
Mentor engineers across grades and drive technical baselines and engineering changes.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders during design reviews.
