Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Systems Engineer within the Technical Systems Security Department to lead cross-disciplinary security projects that advance nuclear security systems. You will interface with DOE/NNSA stakeholders and manage teams across the U.S.

on high-impact security programs. You will design, evaluate, and deploy security system components (alarm, access control, IDS, video) and collaborate with customers to align scope, cost, and schedule while

Qualifications

BS in a relevant field, or equivalent education+experience.
8+ years of related experience with project leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead multi-disciplinary technical teams with strong project leadership in national security.
Oversee a portfolio of nuclear security projects across the U.S. DOE/ NNSA sites.
Design and develop nuclear security systems; apply qualitative/quantitative methods.
Evaluate lifecycle management of security system designs with SMEs.
Support scientific research and development to demonstrate new designs or systems.
Interact with high-level DOE/NNSA customers on program direction; manage scope, cost, schedule, staffing.
