Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM seeks an experienced R&D S&E Electrical Engineer to join multidisciplinary teams delivering critical national security work. You will contribute across the full lifecycle of complex electrical systems, from requirements through fielded-system support, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in a relevant field and five years of directly related experience, with the ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance. Travel is <25% and onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five (5) years of directly relevant experience or equivalent combination.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed understanding of customer, system, subsystem, and component requirements.
• Define, capture, and mature electrical and system requirements with stakeholders.
• Perform analysis and testing in support of requirements verification.
• Develop system-level architecture and perform trade studies for electrical components and subsystems.
• Plan, execute, and analyze ground and flight test activities to verify hardware and software.
