Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, CA seeks an experienced R&D Electrical Engineer to deliver mission-critical electrical systems for national security programs. You will contribute across the full lifecycle from requirements through production realization, collaborating with systems engineers, production partners, and external stakeholders.

You will lead technical activities, mentor junior engineers, and work with customers such as USAF and NNSA. Occasional travel (<25%) is required; onsite work is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five years of directly relevant experience (or equivalent).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance.
• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
• Strong system engineering and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop a detailed understanding of customer, system, subsystem, and component requirements.
• Define, capture, and mature electrical and system requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Perform analysis and supporting testing efforts in support of requirements verification.
• Develop system-level architecture and perform trade studies to integrate electrical components and subsystems.
• Plan, execute, and analyze ground and flight test activities to verify hardware and software.
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate results to technical and programmatic stakeholders.
