Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Staff Systems Engineer to join the Sentinel Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) team in Huntsville, AL.

The role focuses on external system interfaces, mission threads, and systems-of-systems interoperability in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will lead technical planning, verification, and validation efforts, with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration across NG, SPO, and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM required; 14+ years experience (or 12+ with Master’s; 10+ with PhD).
• U.S. Citizenship with active Secret clearance (or higher) or able to obtain SAP/PAR.
• 8–10 years in Product Owner/Manager responsibilities and aerospace/DoD context.

Responsibilities

• Prime Technical Lead/RE for one external system thread (facilities, data, networks).
• Oversee ESI content, ensure rigor and quality across interfaces.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to ESI team members.
