Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Huntsville, AL seeks an Associate Systems Safety Engineer to join the Sentinel program within Systems Engineering Integration and Test.

Responsibilities include technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and requirements to hardware/software. Bachelor’s or Master’s in an engineering field and ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Be completing or has completed a degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) from an accredited institution.
• Majored in Systems Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Industrial and Systems or Aerospace Engineering.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
• Converts customer or product requirements into total systems solutions considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Performs functional/timeline analyses and trade studies to translate requirements into hardware/software specs.
