Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. based in Folsom, CA, is seeking a senior Systems Engineer V - Systems to define, integrate, and validate complex defense systems. The role reports to the Systems Engineering Manager within the Strategic Systems Engineering Department and can be based in Reno, NV or remote.

The candidate will act as technical authority, mentor junior engineers, manage requirements, and lead architecture verification across program tiers. A US government clearance is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, or related STEM field with 10+ years of experience OR Master's with 8+ years OR 14+ years in lieu of a degree
• Deep familiarity with MDA processes, CDRL development, and SE lifecycle standards
• Expert-level proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS)
• Deep knowledge of SE lifecycle standards (INCOSE SE Handbook, MIL-STD-499)
• Significant experience applying MBSE using SysML and Cameo Systems Modeler
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Project

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority; mentor junior systems engineers; drive program-level SE rigor and compliance
• Oversee system, subsystem, and interface requirements definition with full traceability and verification
• Lead development and validation of system architecture and verification plans
• Interface with propulsion, software, hardware, GNC, and test teams for coherent system-level performance
• Manage system-level risk identification and mitigation; integrate into risk posture
• Coordinate technical baseline management and participation in SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR
• Provide MBSE leadership; guide SysML modeling standards and digital toolchain alignment
• Serve as liaison with customer and supplier on requirements flowdown and issue resolution
• Mentor junior/mid-level engineers to grow process maturity
