Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior systems engineer to drive requirements and verification across Lunar Permanence programs. You will align ground systems, test capabilities, and supporting infrastructure with flight vehicle needs, while shaping processes for efficiency and safer operations.

You will lead readiness activities for major milestones, manage cross-functional reviews, and collaborate with engineering, program leadership, and customers to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace, systems, or related engineering; an advanced degree may substitute for experience.
• 8+ years of relevant systems engineering and/or engineering-operations in a regulated environment.
• Experience developing requirements, safety, and V&V baseline in a systems-engineering context.
• Experience planning and executing projects to cost and schedule with milestones and risk.
• Track record of lean, tool-driven processes adopted without direct authority.
• Working fluency with SE tools (Jama, Cameo, Windchill, DOORS, Jira, Confluence).
• Strong stakeholder management across engineering, program, and leadership levels.
• U.S. citizen or eligible for U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements, verification & validation planning and anomaly investigation.
• Develop and refine technical requirements for major program projects across vehicle teams.
• Improve operational and project-execution processes for efficiency and communication.
• Plan and execute milestones (CDR) with readiness tracking and logistics coordination.
• Maintain and improve customer interactions, review processes, and documentation standards.
• Own technical progress tracking and burndown across the program.
