Blue Origin is seeking a senior Systems Engineer to own the requirements, safety, and verification baseline for a major vehicle area within the Lunar Permanence program. You will lead requirements analysis, ensure robust V&V, and mentor engineers as you shape architecture decisions that influence the lander’s safety and certification approach.

You will drive lean engineering processes, collaborate with IPTs and partners, and serve as the primary technical interface to ensure rigorous standards

Competenze

• B.S. in aerospace, systems, or related engineering; M.S. preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant systems engineering experience with ownership across requirements, safety, and V&V.
• Experience owning a major technical area or seams between areas as a Responsible Engineer.
• Track record of leading anomaly investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective action on high-consequence issues.
• Ability to develop lean engineering processes and earn adoption without direct authority.
• Fluency with SE tooling (Jama, Cameo, Windchill, DOORS).
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or eligible status.

• Act as the working-level technical interface across IPTs and with customers/partners.
• Review deliverables for flaws and gaps and mentor engineers.
• Set technical direction for your scope.
