Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support SATCOM activities within a 24/7 operations environment. You will manage logistics, inventory, and document control, while coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure quality and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in SAP receiving/shipping and MS Office is essential.

The role requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of logistics experience, with U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI CI poly clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience in logistics/supply chain
• Experience with SAP receiving and shipping processes
• Experience with inventory management, material handling, and logistics systems
• Active TS/SCI CI Poly security clearance and U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Support SATCOM activities and enterprise-wide systems engineering
• Be part of a 24/7 Operations environment
• Track and report logistics operations using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Communicate with management, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Receive parts from internal and external suppliers ensuring quality and regulatory compliance
• Perform inventory cycle counting
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock
• Maintain document control for receipts, shipments, and logistics documents
• Troubleshoot and solve logistics challenges
• Review and present reports to analysts and leadership
• Cross-train to assist SATCOM activities
• Load and unload critical shipments using material handling equipment

• Support satellite communication (SATCOM) activities and enterprise-wide systems engineering


• Work as part of an integral 24/7 Operations environment


• Track and report logistics operations using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


• Communicate with internal management, supplier teams, and other stakeholders


• Receive parts from internal and external suppliers while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance


• Conduct inventory cycle counting


• Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock supplies


• Maintain document control for receipts, shipments, transfers, and other logistics documentation


• Troubleshoot and solve logistics challenges


• Review and present reports to property analysts, peers, and leadership teams


• Perform other duties as assigned and cross-train to assist SATCOM activities


• Load and unload critical shipments using material handling equipment

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience


• Experience in logistics and supply chain


• Experience with SAP receiving and shipping processes


• Experience with inventory management, material handling, and logistics systems


• Active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date


• U.S. citizenship required


• Experience negotiating, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving in a logistics environment preferred


• Experience with Continuous Improvement processes and strategic project support preferred


• Ability to work effectively under pressure and within time constraints


• Active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred


• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts in a 24/7 operations environment


• Availability for non‑scheduled call‑ins


• Ability to lift 50 lbs.


• Ability to safely operate or work with MHE, stake beds, cargo vans, and electric pallet jacks
