Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead complex systems engineering efforts on advanced missile programs. You will own major trade studies, develop ICDs and provide technical leadership across IPTs, with a strong MBSE background and EVM experience.

The role requires crafting system-level artifacts, coordinating design reviews, and ensuring cost, schedule and performance alignment with customer needs.

Qualifications

• MBSE experience with SysML tools (Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody or equivalent).
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams and IPTs.
• Proven CAM and/or EVM experience with cost, schedule and scope control.
• Strong written and verbal communication for internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level trade studies and architecture decisions for missile systems.
• Develop and basel ine ICDs for mechanical, electrical, data and software interfaces.
• Apply MBSE to capture requirements, architecture, behaviors and tests.
• Serve as technical lead for multi-disciplinary teams (GNC, avionics, propulsion, software).
• Manage CAM scope with planning, budgeting, tracking and reporting.
• Implement EVM to monitor cost and schedule and drive recovery plans.
• Coordinate IPTs and drive risk management and issue resolution.
• Develop requirements docs, CONOPS, specs and test strategies.
• Support integration, test planning, readiness reviews and anomaly resolution.
