Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer (Level 5) to lead complex systems engineering on advanced missile programs at the Chandler, AZ site. You will own trade studies, manage ICDs, and guide multi-disciplinary teams while applying MBSE and IPT leadership to ensure requirements, interfaces, and performance targets are met.

Strong candidates will have a Master’s or PhD in a STEM field, DoD Secret clearance, and experience with EVM and CAM practices.

Qualifications

MBSE tools and practices (SysML, Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody)
Leadership on complex hardware/software systems
Experience as CAM or equivalent for scope, cost, schedule
Experience leading IPTs or cross-functional teams
Familiarity with EVM principles and metrics

Responsibilities

Lead system-level trade studies evaluating design alternatives and risks.
Develop and baseline ICDs for mechanical, electrical, data and software interfaces.
Apply MBSE to capture requirements, architecture and verification plans.
Provide technical leadership across multi-disciplinary teams (GNC, avionics, propulsion, software).
Serve as CAM for assigned work scope with planning, budgeting and reporting.
