Job summary

Lyntris is seeking a Systems Engineer III for border and coastal surveillance in San Diego, CA. This role offers hybrid and onsite options and requires active U.S. national security clearance.

The engineer will participate in architecture design, AoAs, and DoD-standard documentation while supporting end-user training and system maintenance. Qualifications include a BS in a technical field and 5+ years in COTS surveillance tech, RF networks, and systems engineering analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience with border and coastal surveillance technologies.
• Experience with RF communications and wireless networks is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and evaluate requirements to determine optimal system architecture.
• Develop AoAs and recommendations on technologies and OEM equipment.
• Perform detailed design including viewshed analysis, network mapping, spectrum allocation, EMI, CONOPs.
• Create CDRL docs: architecture docs, survey reports, test plans & reports.
• Test and troubleshoot systems.
• Develop training materials for end users (host nation military).
• Guidance to engineering staff on Operations and Maintenance of systems.
• Collaborate with software and platform engineers on C2 systems.
