Job summary

Sabre Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the PMA-201 office at NAS Patuxent River, Lexington Park, MD, focusing on Harpoon missile programs and related weapons systems. The role involves engineering analysis, requirements tracking, and documentation in DoD acquisition settings.

This hybrid position combines on-site work with satellite-team collaboration and occasional telework; travel around every six weeks is expected.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of recent and relevant experience.
• Experience with the A/U/RGM-84 Harpoon missile and/or similar weapon system.
• Experience with Depot and/or Weapon Contractors involving sustainment.
• Experience with Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and modifications of weapon systems.
• Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes is required.
• Direct experience in defense, aerospace, or government programmatic/technical settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Proficient in the MS Office 365 suite.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain an active DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, formulates, designs, and tests practical engineering solutions.
• Reviews technical drawings and documents for ECNs, RFVs, ECPs, and related paperwork.
• Tracks and validates requirements.
• Performs risk management using ROI tool.
• Conducts configuration management activities.
• Guides the engineering development of modern complex systems.
• Applies systems engineering methods and tools in development.
• Contributes to technical documentation and compliance with acquisition standards.
