Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking a Journeyman Systems Engineer to support the Navy’s PMA-208 at NAS Patuxent River, MD. The role focuses on the BQM-177A Subsonic Aerial Target, leading technical assessments, implementing ECPs, and sustaining mission readiness for DoD programs and fleet exercises.

You will manage engineering efforts across production, OEMs, and government customers, perform risk analyses, generate IFCs, and support requirements management, technical reviews, and program management

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college.
• Seven years of general engineering experience.
• At least two years of recent and relevant systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of core systems concepts: ECPs, flight clearance, risk management, requirements management.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher; US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on production and upgrades to the platform.
• Lead the team on technical projects and engineering investigations.
• Generate and release Interim Flight Clearances (IFCs) for test and fleet operations.
• Manage requirements and subsystem specifications.
• Support proposals and ECP evaluations.
• Coordinate interfaces and configuration requirements.
• Prepare for reviews and program management meetings.
• Assist in creating operator manuals and data packages.
• Lead program risk management and reporting.
• Provide engineering analysis for technical and financial proposals.
• Support POM issue sheets with technical plans.
