Job summary

Motorola Solutions UK Limited is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Pronto Digital Policing application in a primarily remote role with occasional travel to offices. You will own end-to-end operational resilience, engage with police stakeholders, and drive deployment initiatives for product enhancements.

The role requires 7+ years in systems engineering, UK security vetting eligibility, a relevant degree, and willingness to travel and participate in on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Hosted Application Operations within enterprise or public safety environments.
• Eligible for UK security vetting (NPPV Level 3, SC) for public safety cloud environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, System Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Driver's license and own vehicle for travel to customer sites.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical sections of customer service reviews and weekly meetings with police stakeholders to present system performance.
• Monitor system performance against SLAs, drive improvements to minimise downtime and incidents.
• Coordinate release management, including hotfixes, feature rollouts, and platform deployments.
• Manage lifecycle of customer data with regular audits and security compliance.
• Collaborate with Shared Services to translate demands into technical specs and change requests.
• Author and maintain ICDs for external system integration with the Pronto platform.
• Investigate and resolve complex system issues, driving preventative measures.
