Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Sr Engineer - Systems Design & Implementation to lead complex public safety software deployments, including body cameras, in-car video, and evidence management systems.

You will bridge high-level system design with on-site deployment, owning technical solutions for critical public safety clients while coordinating with sales, PMs, and engineers to deliver secure, integrated systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Public Safety software application system implementation experience.
• Computer hardware sizing, configuration and implementation experience.
• TCP/IP networking and design experience (wired and wireless).
• Ability to pass a background check and/or security clearance for a customer as necessary.
• LTE Network Modem/Router background.
• Technical writing experience for nontechnical audiences.
• Basic knowledge of Radio Voice Communications Networks.
• Knowledge of Public Safety Operations and Motorola Solutions Public Safety Applications.
• CJIS Security Policy background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement body cameras, in-car video systems, digital evidence management systems, and real-time command center software.
• Serve as the technical solution owner of a project.
• Provide system as-built documentation.
• Identify interface requirements and coordinate with the design team.
• Conduct customer-facing technical requirements discovery sessions.
• Collaborate with sales, project managers, internal engineering, product, and other SMEs.
• Provide customer product training both in-person and virtually.
• Survey, design, install and maintain wireless infrastructure at client sites.

Education

Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of Engineering, IT, Public Safety, and/or Military experience OR 8+ years of Engineering, IT, Public Safety, and/or Military experience
