Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Systems Engineer - Level 5 for Mission Modeling & Simulation in Chandler, AZ. You will develop mission- and system-level models for missiles and interceptors, build scenarios, and perform quantitative analyses to support design trades and performance verification.

This is an on-site role with growth in cross-functional teams. The position requires strong modeling skills, proficiency in MATLAB/Python/C++, and experience with tools like AFSIM/NGTS/Brawler.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Active US Government Secret security clearance.
• Strong modeling, simulation, or operations analysis background for defense systems.
• Hands-on experience with operational analysis and virtual simulation tools.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++ for algorithm development and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate mission-level and system-level performance models and simulations.
• Perform operations analysis and mission effectiveness studies.
• Implement algorithms and scripts in MATLAB, Python, C/C++ for simulations.
• Build scenarios to assess end-to-end performance against threats.
• Conduct trade studies, sensitivity analyses, and DOE for performance assessment.
• Document methods and results in technical reports and briefings.
