Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Chandler, AZ, seeks a Systems Engineering Manager Level 2 to lead a team focused on high-fidelity mission-level and system-level models and simulations for missiles and interceptors. You will combine hands-on modeling with functional leadership in a primarily on-site role.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record in defense modeling/analysis, deep systems engineering knowledge, and proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and C/C++. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Active US Government Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years related experience; or Master’s degree and 6 years; or Ph.D. and 4 years.
• Leadership experience with support of Northrop Grumman ProP and knowledge of Systems Modeling Simulation area.
• Proven track record in modeling, simulation, and analysis for defense systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a section of Systems Modeling Simulation engineers (8-15 personnel).
• Hire, develop, train, and retain section talent.
• Provide leadership, feedback, and direction to team members including performance reviews.
• Oversee day-to-day operation of the section including metrics and resource balance.
• Develop and integrate mission-level and system-level models and simulations.
