Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a high-functioning team supporting TTWCS software requirements, capabilities, enhancements, interface documents, and architecture.

The role requires extensive DoD systems engineering experience, Navy weapons knowledge, and strong documentation skills, with an active Secret Clearance and US citizenship. The position offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package for our employee-owners.

Qualifications

• 10 years of systems engineering experience focused on requirements development and management of software systems.
• Two (2) years of concurrent experience with Navy surface or submarine shipboard weapons and/or fire control systems.
• Experience in requirements definition and initial/detailed system design activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and create requirements at multiple levels (SSS, SSDD, SRS, HRS).
• Determine impacts on weapon systems, requirements, and other design specs during engineering development.
• Resolve change requests and problem reports related to design with system functionality.
• Create CRs/PRs to document system problems and design document errors.
• Develop Candidate Change Packages to engineer new system capabilities.
• Review, analyze, and develop system architectures, especially using MagicDraw.
• Provide human factors engineering, prototyping, and analysis support for UI requirements and specs (HCI).
• Review and provide inputs for external interface documents; maintain CM and document custodianship.
• Provide engineering expertise during IPT meetings, SRMB, ERB, DRB, and other reviews; document results.
• Communicate meeting and engineering event summaries, and defend engineering decisions.
