Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the AFLCMC/HBS/WIW AWACS division. This full-time hybrid role is based at Tinker AFB, OK, with travel to Hanscom & Seattle. You will lead system-level analyses, document technical plans, and guide IPTs through lifecycle phases.

Ideal candidates have DoD systems engineering experience, a SECRET clearance, and strong communication and analytical skills to ensure compliance with specifications and performance targets.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the DoD, 5 of which must be in DoW, OR 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications (8 in DoW).
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Experience in systems engineering, documentation, and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Conduct program portfolio reviews to optimize systems engineering processes and baselines.
• Review plans, designs, and test results for compliance with specifications.
• Prepare technical docs and management reports for planning and actions.
• Perform system validations and analyze major engineering results.
• Provide engineering support across acquisition, development, integration, and sustainment.
• Support risk management per AF SEAM processes.
• Conduct formal trade studies on performance, cost, and schedule.
