SimVentions is seeking a full-time Software and Systems Engineer based in Patuxent Highland, Maryland, at the NAVAIR base. Candidates must have a Bachelor's in a technical discipline and at least ten years of software and systems engineering experience.

The role involves developing software requirements, coordinating with vendors, and participating in Agile processes. Compensation ranges from $120,000 to $176,000 USD based on experience and skills. Benefits include medical coverage and a competitive 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• At least ten years of experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with military aircraft avionics systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject‑matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering technical reviews.
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
