Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site software systems engineering at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD.
The role requires an active Secret clearance and two+ years in software or systems engineering, with knowledge of avionics and an ABET-accredited BS degree. Responsibilities include developing software requirements, vendor evaluation, cybersecurity coordination, and involvement in Agile/SAFe workflows along with SOW/CDRL
Qualifications
- At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
- Knowledge of avionics systems.
- BS in a technical discipline from an ABET accredited program.
- Active Secret Clearance is required (may move to Top Secret later).
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
