Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer VI to lead complex defense programs, shaping system architecture and guiding cross-functional teams to meet mission objectives.

You will manage architecture, verification, and integration across IPTs and suppliers while aligning with DoD requirements, schedules, and budgets. A strong DoD background and mentorship skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
• Fifteen+ years in project or systems engineering leadership
• Proven ability to develop and execute technical strategies
• Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities across engineering, PM, and customer teams
• Strong technical depth to guide architecture decisions and trade studies
• Advanced knowledge of DoD acquisition frameworks and MIL-STD processes
• Experience overseeing subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Serve as chief project engineer or senior technical lead for large defense programs
• Define and guide system architecture, integration, and verification strategies
• Oversee engineering execution across IPTs and major subcontractors
• Lead baseline definition, configuration management, and system integration planning
• Chair engineering reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and ensure readiness
• Interface with DoD customers and supporting meetings
• Manage SOWs, deliverables, and major supplier inputs
• Develop risk and opportunity management across programs
• Provide mentorship to project engineers and leads
• Support proposal development and cost estimation
• Enforce systems engineering standards and MBSE
• Drive process improvements and knowledge sharing
