Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer - Project Engineer VI to serve as a senior technical authority for defense and aerospace programs. You will provide technical direction, manage architecture and verification, and oversee IPT execution with DoD customers.

The role requires 15+ years in project engineering, DoD process knowledge, and strong leadership and mentoring abilities. A active DoD Secret clearance is required. Travel ~10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in project or systems engineering.
• Proven ability to lead large multi-disciplinary programs through full lifecycle.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and customer engagement skills.
• Experience with DoD acquisition lifecycle (DoDI 5000) and MIL-STD processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as chief project engineer or senior technical lead for large defense/aerospace programs.
• Define and guide system architecture, integration, and verification strategies.
• Oversee execution across IPTs and major subcontractors with cost/schedule compliance.
• Lead baseline definition, configuration management and system integration planning.
• Prepare for and participate in SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR reviews with leadership and customers.
