Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a senior Systems Engineer - Project Engineer VI to serve as a top technical authority for high‑complexity defense and aerospace programs.

You will provide strategic direction across engineering disciplines, align design with contractual requirements, and collaborate with DoD customers and executive management. The role demands extensive leadership across IP teams, robust experience in system integration, verification planning, and MIL‑STD processes.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Experience leading large-scale DoD/MDA programs through full lifecycle.
• Proven ability to develop and execute technical strategies aligned with program objectives.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Deep understanding of DoD acquisition lifecycle and MIL-STD processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as chief project engineer or senior technical lead for large defense/aerospace programs.
• Define and guide system architecture and verification strategies.
• Oversee engineering execution across IPTs and major subsuppliers.
• Lead baseline definition, configuration management, and system integration planning.
• Chair design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and ensure readiness against metrics.
• Interface with DoD customers and executive management on technical matters.
• Manage Statements of Work and major supplier inputs.
• Develop risk and opportunity management frameworks at the enterprise level.
• Provide mentorship to project engineers and functional leads.
• Support proposal development, cost estimation, and new business capture activities.
