SimVentions, Inc. in Maryland seeks a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs, on-site at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. A current Secret Clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret after starting.

The role emphasizes developing and sustaining software requirements, coordinating with vendors, supporting cyber security efforts, and participating in Agile/SAFe processes within a defense program environment.

Qualifications

• At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
• BS in a technical discipline from an ABET accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs/SSRs/PDRs/CDRs/TRRs).
• Support the ECP process and prepare SOWs/CDRLs.
