Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering on aviation programs. This on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and requires an active Secret clearance with potential for Top Secret.
The position is future funded and anticipated to begin after September 1, 2026. The role involves coordinating with vendors, evaluating vendor software specs, and participating in technical reviews and agile processes to
Qualifications
- At least ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CDLRs.
