Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs. This is an on-site role at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD.
You will develop software requirements, review vendor specs, coordinate integration, and support system safety and cybersecurity activities. Experience with MBSE and Agile/SAFe is preferred; active Secret clearance is required.
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
- Active Secret Clearance required; Top Secret eligibility possible.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements and review vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration; review software defects.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs) and ECP processes.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes; prepare Statements of Work (SOWs) and CD/DRLs where applicable.
- Support cybersecurity subject matter experts and evaluate contractor proposals.
