Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. seeks a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs. This full-time on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.
An active Secret clearance is required, with potential to obtain Top Secret after start. US citizenship is required to obtain clearance and join the program. This is future-funded and not expected to begin before September 1, 2026.
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
- Experience with DOD-STD-2167A/MIL-STD-498/IEEE 12207 is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
- Conduct analysis of software defects
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs)
- Support the ECP process
- Participate in Agile/SAFe team processes
- Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs
- Develop IGCEs
- Support technical evaluations of contractor proposals
